Free Pilates Consultation: Unsure about Pilates and what to expect? Call us for a free 30 minute consultation. The instructors will be happy to introduce you to the equipment and answer any of your Pilates related questions.
Private Apparatus Training Session. All beginner students must start with Private Apparatus Training sessions. All students not only perform better with full ten private sessions, but have expressed that they receive more out of their group sessions because of the one on one time. We also ask those clients that are recovering from surgery, injuries, or that suffer with chronic pain to take the 10 private sessions. Your first session will be with Sandy Goodin, a former RN with experience in surgery, Chronic Pain, and Rehabilitation.
Pilates Check Up with Sandy Goodin. All new students will start their Pilates training with Sandy Goodin. She will measure your strengths and weaknesses, and create a plan to give you just what you desire from Pilates. This session is recommended to all students to be taken on a semi-regular basis, assess your needs, and make any changes that need to increase Strength, Stamina, Stretch, and Stability. Two price levels are offered. We highly recommend the hour slot, as you could get more accomplished, and may not have to Check Up as frequently. The instructors may recommend this to you if they feel you have need for a more detailed session.
Apparatus Training
Apparatus training involves classical Pilates exercises on the equipment designed and developed by Joseph Pilates himself. Waccamaw Pilates’ equipment is made by the Peak Pilates company out of Colorado.
Apparatus training sessions include classical Mat work as well as exercises on the Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, High Chair/Wunda Chair, Spine Correctors, Tower, Ladder Barrel, as well as use of several small props.
